Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

coachwork is a training app. It holds what you record about your training, and — if you train with a coach through it — it shows that coach your training. This page says exactly what is stored, who can read it, and how to have it removed. It describes what the app actually does, not what it might do one day.

Who is responsible

coachwork is operated by Ioannis Bravos. For anything on this page, write to privacy@coachwork.io.

What is stored, and why

WhatWhy it exists
Your email address and nameTo sign you in, and so a coach can recognise you.
Date of birth, sex, height, weight, training experience, goals, available equipment, injuries and pain reportsThese are the inputs the program is built from. Without them the app cannot write a program for you.
Every workout, set, rep, weight, hold time, effort rating and note you recordThis is the app's purpose. It is also what the next week's program is calculated from.
Body measurements, weekly check-ins and progress photos you enterShown back to you, and to your coach, as progress. Optional.
Videos and photos of your setsOnly if you turn saving on. Recording a set for the on-screen rep counter does not save anything by itself.
Messages between you and your coachTo deliver them.
Your public profile, posts, comments, likes and follows in the communityOnly if you choose to create a public identity. See below.
A notification token for each deviceTo send you push notifications. Removed when you sign out on that device.

Who can see it

Where it is kept

In a Supabase project (Supabase Inc.), which stores the database and files on Amazon Web Services infrastructure. Access is enforced by database rules rather than by the app, so the same rules apply however the data is reached. Videos and photos are stored in a private bucket, not on a public URL.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, that company tells us the account identifier and — the first time only — the name and email you agree to share. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive the relay address and nothing else. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's Push Notification service, which receives the device token and the message.

How long it is kept

Until you delete it. Training history is kept so the app can keep calculating from it; a program built on a week that has been erased is a worse program.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app. It removes your profile, your training history, your logged sets, your measurements, your body data, your messages, your notification tokens, your public identity, your posts and comments, and the records of any videos or photos you had saved. It is not reversible and there is no recovery window, so the app asks you to confirm first.

If you want the saved video and photo files themselves erased from storage at the same time, ask us at privacy@coachwork.io and we will do it — they are in a private store that nothing can read once the records are gone, and automatic removal of the files is being completed. If a coach separately kept their own copy of a program they wrote for you, that copy is theirs and is outside this app.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted — in the app, or by writing to privacy@coachwork.io. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

coachwork is not intended for anyone under 16, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, the app will say so before the change takes effect. The date at the top is the last change.
